Legal aid is only available for certain types of motoring offences. If you are to be prosecuted for an offence for which legal aid is not available, Foster Wells would be pleased to represent you privately. Your driving licence is a vital tool in modern life. Its loss can have a severe effect on your work and personal life. Offences involving alcohol are serious and risk an immediate disqualification unless an argument can be made that what occurred qualifies as "special reasons". Other offences carry penalty points and if a mature driver accumulates 12 points (or a new driver 6 points) then disqualification will normally follow unless an argument can be made that it would cause "exceptional hardship".
